Advice on What to do when you check in and out of Accommodation
Have you ever wondered what you should do when booking into accommodation to make sure you have a memorable stay? Most people don’t think about it and leave everything to the hotel, hoping that it will all work out, and that the accommodation staff will have their best interests at heart and ensure that the customer has a wonderful time staying there. But there’s nothing wrong in making 100 % sure that your stay will indeed be memorable and that you may return one day or tell others about how great the place was.
Do the Research
Nowadays, with the Internet, it’s pretty easy to check out reviews of most accommodation by simply putting in the hotel’s name and reviews afterwards. You should get a good idea with this method of what to expect. Here are a few other pieces of advice on what to keep an eye on:
1 – After arrival, ask to see the accommodation’s rooms before taking belongings to it and make sure it’s as you expected. Anything unsightly, grubby or smelly, should have you thinking “do I really want to stay here?”
2 – Fire exit accessibility. Should a fire happen to start at any time, you would need to know how to get out of the building as quickly as possible. Wandering around in a smoke filled area, looking out for a fire escape door, when there’s an abundance of smoke, could make all the difference between life and death.
3 – Ask for a room away from the lift and any large groups of tourists that might make noise, and definitely not in a room with a connecting door. We all like that good night’s sleep! For great Southern Highlands luxury accommodation, make sure to book only the very best.
4 – Check the amenities what the accommodation has to offer. Amenities provided in different accommodations can vary greatly from place to place, while in some places, they may be standard in all rooms. In some others, they might be optional for an additional cost. Do the homework first and everyone is happy later on! So make sure to select the best during one’s stay.
5 – When you are about to leave, make sure to do a vigorous scan of all the rooms to ensure that you’ve left absolutely nothing behind. Check inside the bathroom and under the bed also. Nothing worse than getting far from a place that one has stayed, and then realising that you no longer have your reading glasses, and the last time you saw them, was on the bedside cabinet. A maid usually goes to check a room when a guest is leaving, to see if anything was left behind, but even maids might miss those glasses that fell between the bed and the bedside table.
So, hope that helps make your stay memorable and enjoyable! Have a good one!
